Wire Troubleshooting Chart

The controller fuses often blow.

Possible Causes: Solution:
The valve solenoid is damaged. Replace thesolenoid
The wires to the valves are damaged. Repair the wiring
The timer is damaged. Replace the timer

 

The timer’s display is blank.

Possible Causes: Solution:
There is no power to the timer. Confirm there is power to the system’s outlet.
The transformer is faulty. Replace the transformer.
There is a blown fuse in the timer circuit. Replace the fuse.
The timer is damaged. Replace the timer

 

The irrigation system is non-functional.

Possible Causes: Solution:
The system timer is off or has blown a fuse. Replace the fuse and turn on the timer.
There is no power at outlet. Reset the circuit breaker.
There is no 24-volt power from the transformer to the timer. Replace the bad wiring or the transformer.
The wire to the valves is damaged. Repair the damaged wiring.
There is a damaged transformer, timer or rain sensor. Replace the damaged components as needed.

 

One or more zones is not working.

Possible Causes: Solution:
There is a damaged zone connection. Repair the wiring.
